Discover enables payments for Apple Pay Cash

  • Apple finally fixes

It will also improve the wireless charging for new iPhones and add a payments feature to Siri and Messages, Apple promises.

Some people noted that after updating to the latest version of iOS 11 they were greeted by the message "unable to activate Face ID" when trying to get into their iPhone X.

It's time to update the software on your iPhone again.

The bugs addressed in iOS 11.2 include a flaw that prevented users from deleting photos when iCloud storage was full and one that caused the calculator to return incorrect results if numbers are entered too quickly.

Elon Musk isn't joking about sending a Tesla to Mars
SpaceX now flies its Falcon 9 rocket for customers that include Nasa, commercial satellite operators, and the USA military. The probe could take pictures better than ones from Earth telescopes, similar to the recent NASA flyby mission of Pluto.

It works like this: Let's say your (iPhone-owning) friend owes you $10 from a brunch bill you split last weekend. They can use the money instantly to pay someone or to make purchases using Apple Pay in stores, apps and on the web.

As decidedly unsexy as it may sound, Apple Pay Cash is one of iOS 11's most useful features. This is Apple's peer-to-peer payment system that lets users send and receive money through iMessage. But with Apple Pay Cash, all you have to do is open Messages and select the Apple Pay icon from the app drawer (a.k.a. that little row of app icons that shows up below the place where you compose your message). It can also be used to pay for goods where merchants can accept Apple Pay.

Currently, Apple Pay Cash is only available in the USA, but it appears that the early release of iOS 11.2 hindered the full rollout of Apple's new payment system.
