'Transgender,' 'fetus,' 'science-based' reportedly on CDC list of banned words

So it shouldn't come as a surprise that government censorship would be next on the list.
The Trump administration has banned the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) from using certain words and phrases in any official documents related to next year's budget. On the list: "diversity", "fetus", "transgender", "vulnerable", "entitlement", "science-based" and "evidence-based".
In some instances, the analysts were given alternative phrases. According to The Washington Post, this included "CDC bases its recommendations on science in consideration with community standards and wishes", in place of the phrases "science-based" or "evidence-based".
No replacements were offered for other words.
Numerous news sources are reporting on Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017, that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has been banned from using seven words in any official documents for the 2019 budget.
But as Harvard Global Health Institute director Dr. Ashish Jha told Stat News, the decision to censor the seven words will likely force staff to self-censor their work.
