Manchester City 'join race to sign £40m Wilfried Zaha'

The Spanish tactician initially wanted to bring in Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez to bolster the City attack, and he nearly succeeded in doing so back in the summer, only to see the move fall through due to the Gunners' failure to sign Thomas Lemar from Monaco.

After missing six of Crystal Palace's first seven games due to a knee injury, Wilfried Zaha has started to rediscover the sort of form that made everyone sit up and take notice of him when he was lighting up the Championship a few years ago.

Pep Guardiola's side are the favourites to snatch Sanchez away from Arsenal, with just six months left on the Chilean's current deal and having almost finalised a move to the Etihad Stadium on transfer deadline day this past summer.

Sanchez has always been linked with a move to City and is available on a free transfer at the end of the season, but Pep Guardiola's side are expected to face stiff opposition for his signature from Paris Saint-Germain.

Jazz center Rudy Gobert has PCL sprain, out 3-4 weeks
Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert is reportedly set to miss one month after being diagnosed with a PCL strain in his left knee. Gobert was examined Saturday by the Utah Jazz medical staff and underwent magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) testing.

The Mirror claims both Manchester City and Chelsea are interested in the winger who is valued at £40million. Landing the Abidjan native also allows Guardiola to keep his current attacking options well-stocked.

Arsenal forward Sanchez is out of contract at the end of the season, but City will face heavy competition from other top European clubs, notably French leaders Paris Saint-Germain, leaving Zaha as a viable alternative.

Despite flying sky high in the Premier League table, Pep Guardiola intends to further strengthen his squad, in order to make his team a potent force in all of Europe and a genuine contender for the Champions League. He cares so much about this club.
