In the results declared yesterday, the BJP won 99 seats and the Congress party won 77 seats, out of the total 182. Rebel JD (U) leader Sharad Yadav too took turn to congratulate Rahul on the improved show of his party in the Gujarat polls, dubbing it a "great success". The venue for the concluding day of the camp has also been shifted from Saffrony Resort in Mehsana to the Gujarat University Convention Hall in Ahmedabad.
Mr Sharma said Mr Gandhi led a "very courageous" and spirited campaign in Gujarat while maintaining decorum in his public discourse.
However, he announced tonight that Gandhi's visit has been rescheduled to December 23.
Asked if the NCP and the Congress will join hands for the next general and Maharashtra assembly polls, Munde said, "My hunch is that the BJP will hold the assembly elections along with general elections, which will be held in the summer of 2019".
BJP President Amit Shah, who was also present in the meeting, mocked at the Congress over its claim of a moral victory in the Gujarat polls, saying it was a "laughable exercise" for a party "to see victory in defeat".
Gandhi will meet newly-elected MLAs as well as leaders from state's four zones-north, south, central Gujarat, and Saurashtra - separately for four hours in Ahmedabad on Saturday, before addressing a gathering of party workers in the evening, Solanki said.

The Congress workers and leaders also alleged that the BJP used "corrupt and unfair means" to win the just concluded Assembly polls.
They said at several places, votes got transferred to the BJP even though people had voted in favour of the Congress, he said.
After interacting with party workers, Solanki said the "overall perception of the Congress leaders was that corrupt and unfair means were used in winning the elections". Another party leader from Mehmedabad said that BJP leaders distributed "saris" among the women voters three days before the second phase of polling.
"Both in terms of seats and campaigning, the Congress performed wonderfully well".
Upbeat over the BJP's win in Gujarat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday asked party MPs not to get distracted by Rahul Gandhi questioning his (Modi's) credibility and told them to strengthen the organisation at the grassroots by promoting young leaders for the 2019 Lok Sabha election. However, he took solace in the fact that the BJP was reduced to "double-digits" despite an aggressive campaigning. The victory in Gujarat was a big achievement, to be voted back for a sixth consecutive term was not an easy thing. "This time people have supported Congress in large numbers and we have increased our seat tally", he said. We were defeated by small margins on as many as 16 seats. "Now they should not blame us", he said.
