The FBI says it will not release its report on the 1 October mass shooting in Las Vegas until late next year.

The Clark County, Nevada, coroner released a statement Thursday night confirming Stephen Paddock's cause and manner of death. The deaths were all ruled homicides.

The coroner's report also confirmed all 58 victims died of gunshot wounds, according to USA Today.

The gunman, identified as Stephen Paddock, killed at least 58 people and injured hundreds of others attending the Route 91 Harvest Festival at an outdoor venue near the hotel.

Still, almost three months later, investigators have not yet publicly released a motive in what's considered the deadliest mass shooting in American history.

Twenty-one people were shot in the head, 36 died with chest and back wounds and one died of a gunshot to the leg, according to the coroner. Six were shot multiple times.

Eric Schmidt steps down as executive chairman of Google's parent Alphabet
That would seem to consolidate the power of the company's co-founders, Alphabet CEO Larry Page and Alphabet President Sergey Brin. He served as CEO until 2011, when he transitioned to become executive chairman, making way for Page to reassume the role.

Nearly three months after the shooting, investigators are still working to determine Paddock's motive.

Paddock's brain was sent to Stanford University in California to study after a visual inspection during found no abnormalities.

A month into the investigation, Aaron Rouse, FBI Las Vegas' special agent in charge, maintained that there was "absolutely" no indication Paddock was ideologically driven or affiliated with any worldwide or domestic terror or hate group.

"[Our report] is focusing a large part on the why, OK?" he told the Review-Journal.

"Our goal is to be able to provide at the end of this, full investigation to understand completely as much as we can without talking to the subject is what happened and why", explained Rouse. County Sheriff Joe Lombardo gave the last public briefing on October 13. "So, obviously, that was starting to decline in the short period of time, and that may have had a determining effect on why he did what he did". "And it was very helpful to us".
