The Congress chief will talk to leaders from South Gujarat, North Gujarat, Central Gujarat and the Saurashtra-Kutch region and ascertain the reasons behind the party's defeat, though the party had improved its performance over 2012 elections.

Throughout Rahul's visit, the Congress president is also planned to talk about the report that would be submitted by the state leaders on the party's sixth consecutive crush in the Gujarat Polls.

Earlier, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) too had targeted the Congress president over his temple visits in Gujarat and termed it an election gimmick to garner Hindu votes.

Gandhi has been using one-liner laced with satire to target the BJP in recent months.

Mr Gandhi had on Friday attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for "lies".

"If BJP had a film franchise it would be called Lie Hard", he said on Twitter, while rhyming it with Hollywood action blockbuster "Die Hard".

Department of Health Urges Flu Shots as Influenza on the Rise
Health officials say flu cases are widespread in Arizona with more than 2,600 cases reported than this time previous year . Also, experts suggest getting the flu shot. "The actual vaccine effectiveness was overall about 33 percent", said Wu.

"'If BJP had a film franchise it would be called Lie Hard", he tweeted.

"Members expressed concern about the (standards of) decency in public discourse and political morality in democracy if the Prime Minister himself stooped so low as to accuse his predecessor of anti-national activities", Congress communications chief Randeep Surjewala said. When we went to Gujarat and we spoke to the people of Gujarat, they said there is no model. "To gain power by all means, would you indulge in such cheap barbs?"

He claimed that whatever Gandhi might say, his party would not return to power as people know its "corrupt face".

Later in the day, Rahul is slated to meet the participants of the shivir in Ahmedabad.

Meanwhile, Rahul is expected to visit Gujarat's Somnath temple on Saturday ahead of a review meeting with newly-elected MLAs and party workers following Gujarat assembly election results.
