  • Apple Apologizes for Throttling Phones With Aging Batteries Promises More Transparency and Discounted Replacements

While the company's intention is actually to prolong the life of those devices that are affected by aging batteries, this admission was obviously very controversial on the internet, where even much smaller issues turn into all-out flame wars at times. "We know that some of you feel Apple has let you down", the unsigned letter (https://www.apple.com/iphone-battery-and-performance/) said.

In a "message to our customers" on the Apple website, the world's most valuable company acknowledged Thursday afternoon that it should have been more transparent about a feature that slows down older iPhones as their batteries age.

Apple has apologized to customers for how it rolled out an update that can slow down older iPhones. Specifically, it's a failsafe measure included in all versions of iOS released in the previous year meant to keep components from catching fire and to prevent random shutdowns.

Speed issues with older iPhones were recently highlighted by Reddit users, who found that when they replaced the batteries in their devices, they returned to normal performance.

But, of course, the fact that third-parties - rather than Apple - revealed the existence of that failsafe did not make the company look good. One such lawsuit seeks almost $1 trillion in damages. In addition to the apology, Apple also expanded on why the power management failsafe is included in iOS in the first place.

It explained that performance wanes as batteries chemically age, are recharged and exposed to hot or cold temperatures.

Star shocks with Instagram Live 'sex' session
Along with the two tweets about about the leaked videos , she also retweeted several messages from fans praising the track. Page Six adds that before their pretend session Cardi talks about her mother.

So far, the best-known target of that law - and HOP - has been printer manufacturers, but on Wednesday this week a lawsuit was filed against Apple over the iPhone slowdown, Le Monde reports.

The iPhone owners, however, claim that they upgraded to newer models once their current handset slowed down, after updating to the newer version of the OS.

The tech giant says it is reducing the price of out-of-warranty iPhone battery replacement by $50, going from $79 to $29 starting in late January.

Early in 2018, Apple will disseminate an iOS update that will allow users to learn more about the health of the battery that is powering their iPhone.

The new software update to be released for iOS in 2018 will feature the ability for users to "see for themselves if its condition is affecting performance".
