Mike Pence's neighbors put up a clever banner to protest his homophobia

  • Neighbors across the street from a home in Aspen Colo. where Vice President Mike Pence and his wife are staying draped a rainbow banner that said 'Make America Gay Again.'

The daughters of the couple across the street and one of their girlfriends reportedly draped the rainbow banner on the pillar while a Pitkin County deputy and Secret Service members stood nearby, the Aspen Times reported.

Last December, Mike Pence and his family were preparing for the move into the Naval Observatory, which has been the official home of the Vice President for years.

The Secret Service agents were not at all disturbed about the banner, Buglione said.

"He was real sheepish and thought he might be confronted by the Secret Service or deputies who'd tell him he couldn't do it", DiSalvo said.

They've been really nice to us'. "When they said, 'We're not here to control your free speech rights, ' they came out with chili for the officers".

The residents of the home did not respond to requests from the media asking for a comment about the "Make American Gay Again" banner. The stone pillar is situated at the end of the driveway between the two homes.

Apple offers battery discounts as apology for slowing down iPhones
In addition to the apology, Apple also expanded on why the power management failsafe is included in iOS in the first place. It explained that performance wanes as batteries chemically age, are recharged and exposed to hot or cold temperatures.

This isn't the first time that Pence has been greeted with LGBT pride messages.

The Pence family, who arrived in Aspen on Tuesday for a holiday vacation, is expected to leave on Monday and head back to the Eagle County Airport.

Despite how some feel about Pence's politics, no one blames the men and women protecting them.

Now it seems even more of Mike Pence's neighbors are getting the same idea.

As governor of IN, IN 2015, Pence signed a bill called the Religious Freedom Restoration Act that "essentially legalized discrimination against homosexuals by businesses IN the state", the New Yorker reported. As a Representative for IN, he voted against a bill banning discrimination against homosexuals.

President Donald Trump has also joked that Pence "wants to hang" all gay people, The New Yorker reported in October.
