North Korea vows to bolster its nuclear capability

North Korea will remain committed to the country's nuclear development in 2018, according to a report released on Saturday by state-run news agency KCNA.
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un said on Monday (Jan 1) that the United States will never be able to start a war against North Korea now that his country has developed the capability to hit all of the USA mainland with its nuclear weapons, as he warned that the nuclear launch button was always on his desk.
"The US should know that the button for nuclear weapons is on my table", he said during the speech, as provisionally translated by the AP.
"The entire area of the USA mainland is within our nuclear strike range", he continued, while claiming that now the U.S. "The United States can never start a war against me and our country".
