In a Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2017 file photo, Troy police investigate multiple deaths at 158 Second Ave., in Troy, N.Y. Officials announced early Saturday, Dec. 30 that two people have been arrested in the quadruple homicide that took the lives of two women and two children in their Troy, N.Y. apartment.

White and Justin C. Mann each face one count of murder in the first degree and four counts of murder in the second degree. Both men will have preliminary hearings on Thursday, Jan 4th after pleading not guilty on 4 counts of 1st and 2nd degree murder charges. They also would not say how the defendants know each other, but said that both have records and Mann is on parole.

According to The Washington Post, the murder took place on December 21. Troy Police told Post-Star newspartners NewsChannel 13 that court appearances were scheduled for the suspects early Saturday. "The rapid apprehension and arrest of two suspects in connection with this tragic crime is welcome news for our community and the victims' families impacted by this senseless tragedy", Troy Mayor Patrick Madden, a Democrat, said in a statement. A preliminary hearing is set for January 4.

Amber Alert issued for two Round Rock girls
He is also wanted over the abduction of the two girls - 14-year-old Lilianas Griffith and 7-year-old Luluvioletta Bandera-magret. Griffith is 5 feet tall and 100 pounds, with light brown hair, brown eyes, braces and a stud on the right side of her nose.

Troy police Chief John Tedesco called the killings "an act of savagery".

A GoFundMe campaign has been created to set up a scholarship and provide resources for Isaiah Smith, Myers' surviving 16-year-old son.

The Times Union reported that the two children were discovered together, kneeling with their heads and chests on a bed. "The emotions of a police officer are something you repress because there is a job to be done", Tedesco said, adding that no one involved in this case will ever forget it. "I'm not sure if they're coming for me next". The Times-Union says Mann appeared to break down as he was led out of court.
