  • SAG-AFTRA Looking Into 'All The Money In The World' Pay Disparity Claims

Wahlberg received $1.5 million for reshooting his scenes in "All the Money in the World", the film about the Getty kidnapping case, while Williams received less than $1,000, a report said Tuesday.

Both actors had to work over the Thanksgiving holiday to finish the film with Plummer, and Williams told USA Today at the time, "I said I'd be wherever they needed me, whenever they needed me".

Whether Williams could have gotten the exact same paycheck as Wahlberg for the reshoots probably depends on how much additional work each of them had to do.

Wahlberg apparently also took a massive pay cut to appear in the movie, which will add more serious cred to his blockbuster-packed CV. Emanuel, whose agent-actor relationship with Wahlberg inspired the show Entourage, is the co-CEO of William Morris Endeavor, a leading entertainment and media agency.

"What he said was, 'I will not approve Christopher Plummer unless you pay me.' And that's how he (expletive) them", the source told the news outlet. The plot thickened yesterday when it was announced that SAG-AFTRA, the actors union, had opened an investigation into that gargantuan pay disparity. And his co-star Michelle Williams got a lot less. "It's just been such a odd saga of highs and lows and ups and downs", continued the actress, who was nominated for a Golden Globe for the film.

USA could freeze up to $2 billion in aid to Pakistan
The rise in anti-American sentiments in Pakistan appears to be conflating with the perception of China as a more reliable ally. The US also suspended the transfer of military equipment and other funds to Islamabad .

Director Ridley Scott chose to cut Spacey from the completed Getty family kidnapping drama after he was accused of sexual misconduct and inappropriate behaviour, and he called on Christopher Plummer to step in and play billionaire J. Paul Getty.

It's also unclear whether or not Williams knew that Wahlberg hadn't yet committed to the reshoots when she agreed to participate. Which put director Ridley Scott in the precarious position of bringing on Plummer before Wahlberg's contract was settled, as TMZ reports.

According to Forbes, between June 1, 2016, and June 1, 2017, the world's 10 highest-paid actresses made a combined $172.5 million. Williams, who has been heralded as a blinding talent for her portrayals in films such as Blue Valentine, My Week With Marilyn and Manchester By The Sea. The entire reason that these reshoots were required was because Christopher Plummer was hired to play the role Kevin Spacey had initially been cast in.

"I said I'd be wherever they needed me, whenever they needed me".

Imperative Entertainment, the company that produced it, ultimately agreed to US$1.5 million. If Williams' agents had asked the producers to guarantee equal pay rates for everyone involved, "All The Money In The World" would have avoided a round of bad press, and Scott and his colleagues would have gotten double credit.
