The moon sets at 7:23, so we'll miss the total eclipse at 8:29 (this eclipse is most visible in Asia, Europe and the Pacific.) Timeanddate.com will have a stream of the entire eclipse starting at 6:30 a.m. Such an important astronomical event is taking place after 150 years.

Gordon Johnston, Program Executive and Lunar Blogger at NASA Headquarters in Washington, said that the January 21, 2019 lunar eclipse will be visible throughout all of the USA and will be a supermoon, though it won't be a blue moon.

He explained that, because of the dust and atmospheric conditions, the moon may appear slightly blue. Hasan Al Hariri, CEO of Dubai Astronomy Group has stated that to observe this fantastic opportunity people are advised to go to a high point or finding an unobstructed area with free sight to east-northeast for the best view of the eclipse.

Space observers and photo enthusiasts are equally excited about the event.

A blue moon is simply a second full moon in one month.

March also will feature two full moons during its 31 days, but there will be no full moon in February. Similar to sunrises and sunsets, the moon will start turning red as the eclipse continues and it gets closer to setting. And people call it Blood Moon. This can occur only when the sun, earth, and moon are aligned exactly, or very closely so, with the earth in the middle. Moon during this phase is known as super moon. This event will be worth a watch!

China extends its New Silk Road to the Arctic
China is also building the railway that will link the two main cities of Kenya: the capital, Nairobi, and Mombasa, on the coast of the country.

Finally, at 6:08 a.m., the total eclipse will end, with the moon slipping back into a partial eclipse.

The last blue moon was July 31, 2015 and the next one won't occur until October 31, 2020, Aufdenberg said. The eclipse will end at 9.38 PM. Such a celestial event last took place in 1866. With the sun's light no longer directly reflecting from the moon's surface, scattered sunlight from the Earth falls on the moon, transforming it from white to blood-red in appearance.

Wednesday night, the full moon's orbit or perigee brings it so close to Earth that the moon rises huge in the night sky.

A blood moon occurs during a lunar eclipse, when the moon moves into the Earth's shadow. In 2018, one full moon had occurred on 1 January and the next is slotted to be on 31 January. Although it does not have a scientific definition, a "blood moon" occurs during a lunar eclipse when faint red sunbeams peek out around the edges of the moon, giving it a reddish, copper color.

"The lunar eclipse on January 31 will be visible during moonset". Capturing a picture of the moon may not prove hard, but one thing to keep in mind is to catch a picture that provides the perspective of how large it looks.
