In a freaky incident, a woman was barred from taking an emotional support peacock on board a United Airlines flight as the bird did not meet the airlines' regulations regarding size and weight.

Birds of a feather may flock together, but not on United Airlines. "We explained this to the customers on three separate occasions before they arrived at the airport", United said in a statement, according to Fox News.

"I really think that the whole emotional-support animal thing is just getting out of hand", Laurie said. Visit www.TheJetSet.tv to find your local time... United confirming they wouldn't allow the peacock on board. They've been known to chase after visitors...and bite.

An emotional support peacock ruffled some feathers at a New Jersey Airport on Saturday.

A woman who tried to take her peacock on a U.S. flight was told at the airport she couldn't travel with her emotional support bird on health and safety grounds.

Toronto Landscaper Charged With Multiple Counts of First Degree Murder
The Toronto police had launched an investigation in November 2012 looking into the disappearances of three men from Gay Village. Prior to his arrest two weeks ago, McArthur was self-employed as a landscaper under the company name "Artistic Design".

United would not let the peacock onto its flight, saying that the animal did not meet the airline's guidelines.

The travel talk show The Jet Set shared photos of the incident on Facebook.

Dexter is believed to belong to Brooklyn-based artist Ventiko, who had bought a ticket for the exotic bird so he would have a seat.

The incident at Newark Liberty came as a number of airlines have been implementing stricter rules for emotional support animals. But it's worth noting that in its January 19 policy change announcement, even Delta admitted there had been an uptick in unfortunate incidents as a result of increased numbers of in-flight animals.

There are several animals airlines will not allow on the plane due to safety or public health concerns. The airline said it flew 250,000 service or support animals past year.

On Jan. 19, Delta announced that it had enough and was revising its emotional support animal policy, citing a 150 percent increase from 2015 in passengers flying with the animals.
