The remastered version of the adrenaline-fuelled title will feature the base game plus eight pieces of additional content, which were originally released during the 'Year of Paradise'. There hasn't been a new Burnout, however, since the release of Burnout Paradise ten years ago in 2008. Criterion Games, a studio of Electronic Arts, has surprised the world and announced Burnout Paradise Remastered, which will become available March 16, 2018 on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, inviting players to wreak havoc and unleash automotive anarchy once more. Instead of indivual racing tracks that were a cornerstone of previous entries in the franchise, Paradise featured an open-world.

Full details on all versions can be found on the official Burnout Paradise Remastered website. It was the last main game in the series to be developed by Criterion Games.

Rumors first swirled earlier this year that a remaster of Burnout Paradise would soon arrive on modern consoles, following purported forum leaks and an appearance on a Japanese Twitter account. The game will be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on March 16th.

"Relive the high-octane stunts and wanton destruction of one of the greatest arcade-driving games ever!" It will retail for $39.99 and EA Access members will get access starting March 9. Do you think this was the best choice for remastering a Burnout game or should they have selected a different title?
