"As RYAN SEACREST continues to defend himself against an allegation of sexual harassment, E! has chosen to stand by its longtime host, saying this week that he will occupy his usual post front and center of the action on the red carpet during HOLLYWOOD's biggest night". The wardrobe stylist, Suzie Hardy, went public with her claims on February 26, telling Variety that Seacrest once allegedly shoved her head near his crotch and hugged her in his underwear multiple times.

Earlier in 2018, E! investigated Hardy's allegations, and eventually concluded there was "insufficient evidence" to prove her story. The Oscars, produced by Michael De Luca and Jennifer Todd and hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, also will be televised live in more than 225 countries and territories worldwide.

According to an official release from E!, the Fifth Harmony member will perform during the "Countdown to the Red Carpet: The 2018 Academy Awards" program at 1PM ET/10AM PT. "I don't know about the Ryan Seacrest thing", she said.

Ryan has been a red carpet staple for years: he's a crucial part of E!'s award season coverage, so when asked whether he would represent E! this year despite the controversy, a rep for the network said "of course he is" still hosting the red carpet pre-show. The allegations against Seacrest raise the question of whether actors could turn questions around on him, or avoid interviews altogether.

China's National People's Congress annual session begins in Beijing on Monday
Reforms should focus on "international rules that have fallen behind the times and no longer align with the shared aspirations of all nations".

"As proud as I am and as strong as a woman as I am, as smart as I am and as much work as I've done with therapists, it really affected me", Hardy told the outlet.

Resistance to red carpet traditions - and to E! in particular - has been mounting for years: In 2015, a number of female stars shunned E!'s "Mani Cam," a gimmick E! introduced in 2012 that invited even greater scrutiny of the stars' by making them parade their fingers down a "mini red carpet".

E!'s "Live From The Red Carpet" is produced by Ryan Seacrest Productions and Wilshire Studios. "I don't have a problem with talking about what women are wearing". The network came under fire again this week after it was revealed that it fired a producer who aired a segment in which Eva Longoria remarked about Sader and the gender equality issues in Hollywood.

Still, it seems E! has made its decision.
