Nunberg doesn't always drink, but when he does it's on CNN

  • Hand it over The subpoena by Special Counsel Mueller's probe into the Trump campaign and alleged collusion with Russia covers communication with the President and others

Nunberg set off a weird afternoon of news when he told the Washington Post he was requested to appear before a grand jury Friday and would not do so, nor would he give Mueller's team requested emails and documents concerning his contacts with President Donald Trump and members of his campaign.

"They probably wanna know about Miss Universe 2013, if I had to guess", Nunberg replied, adding to the body of circumstantial evidence that the Federal Bureau of Investigation is very interested in Trump's trip to Russian Federation that allegedly produced the long-rumored pee tape.

"I'm going to cooperate with whatever they want", Nunberg told CNN Tuesday in a phone interview.

Yet when Tur asked him if Mueller's team had anything on the president, Nunberg said, "I think they may".

A Trump campaign staffer who said on Monday he would refuse to appear before a grand jury has backed off those comments, according to The Associated Press.

The former aide left Trump's campaign in the summer of 2015, when racist Facebook posts on his account from the past were dug up, Politico reports.

Nevertheless, Nunberg made a number of explosive claims during the interviews. 'Officer, I'm a busy man, I don't have time to walk you out to the third storage drain north of my barn!

"It is incredibly unsafe and it's also such a bad idea to do it so publicly", she said of Mr Nunberg's public pronouncements.

Nunberg said he had already spoken with investigators for five-and-a- half hours last month and he wasn't going back in.

Late-night host Stephen Colbert weighed in on former Trump campaign aide Sam Nunberg's media blitz on Monday, comparing his takeover of the cable news cycle to a vehicle chase.

"Let him arrest me", he said of Mueller's operation.

MeToo Founder Says E! Should Keep Ryan Seacrest Away From the Oscars
Earlier in 2018, E! investigated Hardy's allegations, and eventually concluded there was "insufficient evidence" to prove her story .

Nunberg said he was asked about his contacts with a wide range of Trump associates, some of whom he said he had never met.

It's unclear why Nunberg so quickly changed his mind.

On Monday, he went on a tirade against his old boss, telling reporters he thinks Mueller has incriminating evidence against the president, although he declined to say what that might be.

Despite continued animosity between him and Mr Trump over the posts, Nunberg said he would not co-operate with the "witch hunt" probe. "Putin is too smart to collude with Donald Trump".

He told CNN's Jack Tapper that he believes Trump knew about the June 2016 Trump Tower meeting by top campaign officials and a Russian lawyer who promised dirt on the then-Democratic rival Hillary Clinton.

Nunberg denied the comment, saying that the only thing he had taken that day were antidepressants.

By halfway through his media tour, Russian manipulation of US democracy was less of an intriguing question - he backtracked - than what the heck was wrong with Sam Nunberg?

"I definitely think he doesn't know that for sure because he's incorrect".

"He hasn't worked at the White House so I certainly can't speak to him or the lack of knowledge he clearly has", Sanders said.

Nunberg said that he was refusing the special counsel "because what they sent me was absolutely ridiculous".
