Betsy DeVos: Maybe I should, yes.

STAHL: Now, has that happened in MI? We're in MI, your home state.

Betsy DeVos: Michi-Yes, well, there's lots of great options and choices for students here. When white students are disruptive, they are typically sent to the principal's office, Stahl said, while school staff often call the police on Black students.

Education Secretary Betsy DeVos speaks during the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), in February at National Harbor, Md.

"Overall, ... I can't say overall that they have all gotten better", DeVos said.

"The whole state is not doing well", Stahl pushed.

STAHL: The public schools here are doing worse than they did.

"We are committed to working quickly because there's no time to waste", said Ms. DeVos, who will chair a federal commission on school safety.

"Have you seen the really bad schools?"

"Students at charter schools in Detroit ate doing 2x better than their peers", she wrote.

CNN's Kaitlan Collins says that Trump Administration officials are extremely concerned with Betsy DeVos after how badly the Secretary of Education did in her recent media hits.

"Well, no it's not", Stahl said.

In the same way, when Devos was asked about arming teachers, she responded with it "should be an option" for the states and communities. If DeVos was coached to be as vague and non-specific in her answers as possible, she should get rid of the person giving her that advice.

Then Stahl switched to Michigan, DeVos's home state, and one that she's spent years trying to make more charter friendly.

In an interview Monday, Devos depicted the plan to be widely bipartisan and the "first step in a more lengthy process". Still, they provide a rough look at how MI kids are doing, and it sure looks like they're doing steadily better in public schools but not in charter schools. While she has received very vocal criticism for her work, DeVos is succeeding with this agenda. A national study conducted by the Justice Department revealed that one in five women, 21 percent, are sexually assaulted during their time attending college. The "60 Minutes" correspondent noted that MI schools were not doing well. "Please remember what Michelle Obama said about when they go low".

"So, there's a clear answer to that question", Eden continues. She was confirmed by a single tie-breaking vote in the U.S. Senate by Vice President Mike Pence and during her confirmation hearing, she had difficulty answering some questions.

DeVos is a school choice advocate and has promoted allowing students to leave public schools and take public funding to charter or religious schools. There is no doubt about it, ' she said. "We need to ensure all students have an opportunity to learn in a safe and nurturing environment and all students means all students".

DEVOS: Well, one sexual assault is one too many, and one falsely accused individual is one too many. It's about disparate impact.

"Despite the numerous legal and practical arguments for reversing such guidance, which, according to Sen". For Fact's Sake: That's just not true. When a white girl in the same grade threw a rock that hit another child in the head and broke the teacher's sunglasses, she was made to help the teacher clean the classroom during lunch. "And that's the missing link in her philosophy in which she believes, but has not articulated forcefully enough".

STAHL: They want gun control.
