Joy Behar, a co-host of ABC's "The View", has apologized to Vice President Pence for mocking his Christian faith and suggesting his religious views made him mentally ill.

Behar responded, "It's one thing to talk to Jesus. I don't think it was right, and I was glad to hear that she apologised", Iger said in a statement to shareholders, reported CBN News.

Brent Bozell, president of the Media Research Center, a conservative group that has led a campaign to hold "The View" accountable for the comments, said ABC needs to go beyond a private apology to make up for the offense.

Pence also appeared on Monday's episode of Fox News' "Hannity" and addressed the comments from Behar.

It took nearly a month, but USA Today reported on March 13 that Behar used the previous day's episode of The View to apologize for her comments "conflating some Christians' belief that Jesus talks to them with mental illness".

"And I give Joy Behar a lot of credit", Pence continued. She picked up the phone.

"It's one thing to talk to Jesus, It's another thing when Jesus talks to you", Behar quipped at the time. "I'm still encouraging her, to use the forum of that program or some other public forum, to apologize to tens of millions of Americans who were equally offended".

Nelson was set to make just over $9.5 million in base salary for 2018 with the potential for over $12 million with incentives. With Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb on the decline, Gutekunst is intrigued by the marquee names available at wide receiver.

While Behar called to apologize to Pence, he decided it wasn't enough.

The vice president concluded his answer by saying that he hoped Behar "and others on the airwaves will come to appreciate the meaning and, if I could say it, the joy that comes from faith and respect that".

"He's extreme", Manigault Newman said to her fellow contestants about Pence, who has ties to the evangelical community.

Pence added, "I felt it was important that I defend the faith of tens of millions of Americans against that kind of slander". "She made a call to him and apologized, which I thought was absolutely appropriate".

Whether Behar's apology is honest or not is anyone's guess, it well could be, but the fact that she was likely required to give one or else risk losing her job should be on our radar. I happen to take exception to what she said. When she did, Graham updated his post: "Thank you, Joy - I accept your apology". "Behar and ABC need to publicly apologize for the bigoted slurs on 'The View'". "I sincerely apologize for what I said".

"We would be begging for the days of Trump back if Pence became president".
