"France does not recognise the organisation of Russia's presidential election in Crimea today", it added as Russians vote in an election overshadowed by a furious row with Britain and its allies over the poisoning of a former Russian double agent in England.

The Ukrainian government announced on March 16 that only Russian diplomats in Ukraine would be allowed to cast ballots in the election, which Vladimir Putin is set to win.

According to the statement, in order to avoid provocations and possible grave consequences on that day the units of the National Police and the National Guard will ensure the proper security of all diplomatic missions and institutions, as well as the adjoining territories, in accordance with the Vienna Convention.

The European Union also stressed the need for Russian Federation to implement the provisions of the UN General Assembly resolution on Ukraine's territorial integrity.

Sunday marks exactly four years since President Vladimir Putin, who is seen as a virtual certainty for a fourth term, signed a treaty declaring Crimea part of Russia after taking control of the former Soviet territory following the ouster of a Russian-backed president in Ukraine's capital Kiev. Russia said the vote repaired a historical wrong after the historically Russian region was handed over to Ukraine 60 years ago.

CAUSE FOR OPTIMISM: Michael Porter Jr . and Jontay Porter didn't immediately announce they were entering the draft after the game. No Seminoles player had more than nine points in the first half, but all 10 that played scored at least one basket.

However, Russia has not now abandoned its unlawful intentions, according to the Interior Ministry.

Russia's diplomatic establishments in Ukraine are located in four cities - Kyiv, Kharkiv, Odesa and Lviv.

The decision of Ukrainian authorities to create obstacles for Russian nationals wanting to cast ballots during the Sunday presidential election violates global norms and regulations, the secretary of the Russian Central Election Commission (CEC) told Sputnik on Friday.

Meanwhile, the Russian Embassy in Kiev sent a note of protest to Ukraine over its plans to stop Russian expatriates from voting in a presidential election this Sunday.
