Steve Kerr: No Way Stephen Curry Plays First Round Of Playoffs

26 March, 2018, 02:25 | Author: Elena Meyer
  • Nick Young and Stephen Curry

Curry's absence will have little impact on the rest of the regular season, with the Warriors pretty much locked into the two seed in the Western Conference, now sitting 4.5 games behind Houston and 10 games ahead of Portland.

While we have likely seen the last of Stephen Curry for the regular season, the Golden State Warriors star does not seem too anxious about his injury.

Curry, who recently healed from an ankle injury, injured his knee after a play in which teammate JaVale McGee fell into him in the third quarter of a road win over the Hawks on Friday. The two-time NBA MVP immediately began hopping and then limping in pain.

Blake Griffin, before he was traded from the Los Angeles Clippers to the Detroit Pistons, went down with a similar MCL sprain earlier this season and missed 14 games, which amounted to a little more than four weeks.

Golden State Warriors superstar small forward Kevin Durant is the latest star athlete to invoke the Aaron Rodgers strategy, urging everyone to relax when it comes to the injury plague seemingly possessing the Warriors of late.

Angry protest over shooting of unarmed black man in…
The demonstrators also blocked access to the Golden 1 Center, preventing some fans from attending a Sacramento Kings game. The police killing of 22-year-old Stephon Clark brought a second day of angry protests to Sacramento on Friday.

Kerr said "There's no way he's playing in the first round". The Timberwolves hold a half-game lead over the Jazz for the No. 7 spot entering Sunday night's games.

As it stands, the Warriors are 4.5 games behind the Rockets for first out west. The Pelicans are second with 38.

Stephen Curry can't seem to catch a break this season.

Curry, 30, is averaging 26.4 points, 6.1 assists and 5.1 rebounds per game.
