Florida State head coach Leonard Hamilton said Sunday he wished he "could have done better" in handling a postgame interview following the Seminoles' season-ending loss to MI on Saturday.

"What are you talking about?" Specifically, she asked about the Seminoles' decision to not foul down by four points with about 10 seconds to go.

Hamilton told Jacobson the question didn't make sense and the game was over, then almost walked away from the interview before stepping back toward the microphone.

Hamilton flashed an annoyed look, and Jacobson added, "Coach, a four-point ball game, it's a question that the guys were asking at the end of our game".

"The game was over", he said. After her fourth attempt at a legitimate question that was being asked by the studio crew as well, he replied, "With 15 seconds left on the clock, what were we down?" "What were we down?"

Jacobson: "You didn't think your guys could get back in it, put them on the line if they miss those shots".

Hamilton released on Twitter this afternoon a statement regarding the interview.

IDF Targets Gaza Following Infiltration by Group of Four Palestinian Attackers
Israeli tanks have targeted Gaza for the second day in a row, as tensions on the border and Hamas military maneuvers take place. During a routine patrol of the southern Gaza border fence, soldiers detected footprints leading from the Strip into Israel.

Hamilton went on to give credit to MI for winning the game, but never really answered why his team didn't foul down the stretch. The Wolverines are headed to the Final Four as one of the hottest teams in college basketball, and very much looking like a group that could win the title for John Beilein in 2018.

Immediately after the game, TBS commentator Reggie Miller questioned the decision to not foul.

"Leonard thought he could push over Dana Jacobson who's been in the business a while and knows how to ask tough questions".

The spread on the game was also FSU +4.5 which led some to suggest a gambling conspiracy.

On Sunday, Jacobson defended the Seminoles coach...

"I'm going to give coach Hamilton a pass", Charles Barkley said. It was the right question to ask. He says his emotions got the best of him. "He was nothing but professional with me throughout this weekend as I believe I was with them".
