Bloomberg, citing unnamed people "with knowledge of the matter", on Wednesday reported that Cupertino is working on "curved screens" as well as a new "touchless gesture control" feature to differentiate its future iPhones from other smartphones.

In addition, Bloomberg report that Apple is also working on a new type of curved display.

The control feature would let iPhone users perform some tasks by moving their finger close to the screen without actually tapping it. This new feature would work by detecting the user's proximity to the screen to determine what the person is trying to do. This would involve a screen where the actual middle of the display is lower than the top and bottom edges, resembling LG's Flex smartphone to an extent. Apple's latest iPhones have a feature called 3D Touch that responds differently depending on different finger pressures. So far, every iPhone model has used a flat display.

De Bruyne: I can not be compared to Salah
The two players will face each other on Tuesday night when their clubs meet in the quarter-final first leg of the Champions League at Anfield.

Apple's iPhone X has an OLED screen that curves slightly at the bottom but isn't detectable. According to Bloomberg, Apple will be developing its processors for the Mac as early as 2020, doing away with current Intel processors powering the product.

The feature won't be ready for at least two years -assuming Apple chooses to bring it to production, the source said. Though it sounds like Apple's version of touchless gestures will be a bit different on how they are implemented. The approach differs from concepts like Samsung's Air Gestures or Google's Project Soli, relying on technology built into the display rather than any cameras or motion sensors.

Those familiar with Samsung's Galaxy line will likely remember that the South Korean manufacturer has played with simple hand gesture controls in the past, most notably with the Galaxy S4 and S6.
