Facebook has broken Tinder and users who were booted off the dating app have taken to Twitter to complain about it, as spotted first by Select All.

Since a user needs a Facebook account to log into Tinder, this bug has reportedly affected Tinder's entire user base.

When logging into Tinder using Facebook, you get a prompt that says the app "requires you provide additional Facebook permissions in order to create or use a Tinder account". Pressing "Ask me" - the only available option - asked the user to log into Facebook, starting the whole cycle over again.

Tinder is moving into the next big phase of narcissism with its first video-based feature being tested with iOS users in Canada and Sweden. Facebook's data access changes are a response to the Cambridge Analytica scandal, which revealed that a data firm had collected data from 87 million Facebook users without their consent.

After user data ended up in malicious hands, Facebook knew it was time to pay more attention to what apps access personal information.

Cunningham's family claimed that the 35-year-old had been behaving very strangely before vanishing without a trace two months ago. Public Health Service, but he disappeared after he went home sick on February 12.

Facebook announced a tightening of access to data for third-party apps on Wednesday, and confirmed that these changes triggered the lockout on Tinder, where users can sign in using their Facebook account.

We reached out to Tinder in an effort to further get to the bottom of what may turn out to be a sexless night for millions, and will update this post when and if we hear back. For example, Facebook has said it will remove developers' access to people's data if the person has not used the app in three months. While this helped individuals find friends, Facebook said businesses that had phone or email information on customers were able to collect profile information this way.

According to Tinder, such short videos might be able to better illustrate the personality of users and boost their chances of finding a proper match.

Other dating apps that also use Facebook appeared to be unaffected. In the meanwhile, maybe try sliding into some Twitter DMs?
