This would mark a big shift in the look and feel of the iPhone, though we are certainly excited to see what this opens up for future designs. Apple has unloaded a handful of helpful clips on the new product, and they can be found on the official iPad how-to page (linked below). Co-founder Steve Jobs popularized the mouse in the early 1980s.

Apple did not immediately respond to Geek's request for comment. This technology isn't exactly new as Sony and Nokia have implemented it in the past as a glove input option on their phones.

Another project that Apple is working on is the curved displays. That's different from most of the latest smartphones - like Samsung - whose screen curve down at the edges. The mighty iPhone X, Apple's tenth anniversary iPhone, marked the first prominent re-design in iPhones since ever. The iPhone X's OLED screen curves slightly at the bottom, but the shape is hard to detect. Apple is likely to use an OLED screen for the aforementioned tech as well as they are more flexible than the regular LCD screen panels.

So without further ado, below are a few curved iPhone concept images clearly inspired by Nokia's 8110 slider.

'Space tantalisingly close' for Sir Richard Branson after successful rocket test
Branson couldn't contain his excitement on twitter following the test flight: "Data review to come, then on to the next flight". The larger WhiteKnightTwo plane lifted Unity above the desert to an altitude of 46,500 feet before releasing the spacecraft.

"Apple is working on touchless gesture control and curved screens for future iPhones", Mark writes.

Samsung already has a technology similar to what Apple is developing in its Galaxy S4, where users could swipe just above the screen to scroll a webpage or photos.

In a world with so many smartphone manufacturers constantly competing with each other for a share of the market, innovation is a key factor and Apple is attempting to be at the forefront of innovation once again.

Apple is staying ahead of the curve by introducing features not found in competitors' models. One of the current rumors is that Samsung is working on a foldable smartphone. The report said that a touchless gesture feature from Apple would use technology built into the display rather than sensing motions from sensors in front of the phone.
