  • Alex Oxlade Chamberlain celebrates his goal

The Ox says that this was the best atmosphere he's ever played in.

Oxlade-Chamberlain has been around for so long - he is now in his 10th season as a professional - that it is easy to forget he is still very young but it is clear he is exhausted of being talked about in terms of potential and, like the side he represents, is in a hurry to make a lasting impression.

When asked about the 24-year-old, Klopp delivered a brilliant answer on why Oxlade-Chamberlain has found a new lease of life after six years at Arsenal and a hard start at Liverpool.

In January, Oxlade-Chamberlain doubted whether he would play at this summer's World Cup for England.

The Reds' No.21 has gone from strength to strength in recent months and, whilst being deemed inconsistent by some, impressed once again during the midweek 3-0 Champions League victory over Manchester City.

"Hendo [Jordan Henderson] was warning me about that before, he said "wait until you see it tonight" and I kind of knew what he meant but until you're out there and you see what the fans are doing and how much passion there was, it's was incredible to be part of".

"I think they were both treading water at Arsenal, it's as simple as that", Redknapp said on Sky Sports.

German Prosecutors Seek Puigdemont's Extradition to Spain
Carles Puigdemont was detained in Germany on March 25 as he attempted to drive from Finland to Belgium , where he now resides. Asked about the decision at a news conference in Algiers, Rajoy said Spain would respect the decision of German courts.

"There were a few runs I did in the first half where I broke the line and it was just the last man I didn't manage to get past or didn't get the shot off and it is those moments where I could have had a second goal or set someone up that I can work on".

"Alex I would say has probably done slightly better out of the two". Coming into the stadium for a game which was not a final it nearly set it up to be like a final.

"It got me going and I'm sure it got the rest of the boys going". That gives you the opportunity to do things you're not used to, and that's what helped him.

"He [the referee] gave me a booking, but I was a bit disappointed because I hadn't conceded many fouls during the game". In the second half they obviously came at us a bit more and we dropped deep at times, which we didn't really want to do, but we defended brilliantly.

"I could have been better on the ball and there are areas I need to improve on and can improve on".

The Reds' fans thanked Arsene Wenger-led Arsenal for selling the Englishman to Liverpool.
