On Friday, Musk acknowledged for the first time that he had relied too much on automation in the Model 3 assembly line, a stunning concession from Tesla'sCEO who has earlier scoffed at competitors' manufacturing prowess and boasted about creating an "Alien Dreadnought" within the Fremont factory by this year.
Just a few days after Teslacalled an article claiming it purposely underreported serious factory injuries "misrepresentative and outright inaccurate", the automaker is facing an investigation into the allegations by California's Division of Occupational Safety and Health (Cal/OSHA).
