Showers expected Wednesday, but no severe weather

Friday night will bring rain and thunderstorms before midnight, and be on the lookout for patchy fog, the weather service said.

The rain will subside by Thursday and will again warm to the mid 60s for another sunny day near the end of the week.

Plenty of sunshine is ahead for us Thursday. A stray shower can not be ruled out. Highs in the upper 70s Monday, to the mid 80s by Wednesday. We'll have periods of rain throughout the day, and some of those downpours may even have a few rumbles of thunder. You may want to have your umbrella on standby.

Widespread rain moves in today, with heavy pockets most likely in the afternoon and evening.

High pressure makes a brief return building in from the west as we move through our Thursday. Highs will remain in the 50s both days. Plus, temperatures are going to be very reasonable for this time of year. Highs will be slightly milder, in the mid-60s. Temperatures fall into the middle to upper 40s.
