Edition Of The News.am reported that Prime Minister nominated only one candidate Nikol Pashinian.

Speaking to AFP in an interview Monday, Pashinyan said Armenians themselves wanted to determine the future of their country and an explosion of tensions was just a matter of time. "We need to leave peacefully, and with renewed strength begin our protest tomorrow", Pashinyan told supporters in central Yerevan.

Pashianian insists that only an interim government led by a "people's candidate" - himself - can organize and conduct parliamentary elections that are free, fair, and transparent. "Our struggle is a struggle of non-violence, it is a peaceful act of civil disobedience".

Parliament made Sargsyan prime minister a week later under a new government structure that gave the premier more power than the president. That seemed to signal a dramatic shift in power in Armenia, an ex-Soviet state closely aligned to Russian Federation that has been run by the same cadre of people since the late 1990s.

However, local media outlets reported early on Tuesday that the sole candidate for the post has announced in a video message posted on his Facebook page that the Republican deputies have made a decision to thwart the scheduled vote.

Earlier on Tuesday, Pashinyan had warned the ruling elite it could face a "tsunami" of anger from the people if it stymied his move to become prime minister.

Man Utd boss Mourinho: Makes sense for Wenger to carry on
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger wants a peaceful ending tomorrow ahead of Arsenal vs. Manchester United clash, The Independent reported.

In the vote taken today at the National Assembly's special session, 45 votes were cast in favor of Pashinyan, while 55 votes were cast against.

"A revolution of love and tolerance is continuing", he said, also urging people to turn out for a huge rally Wednesday evening as the crowds chanted "Nikol!"

Some Armenians saw Sarksyan's bid for the prime minister's job as a cynical ploy to extend his grip on power.

During debate, Republican lawmakers accused Pashinyan of being an irresponsible rabble-rouser and of lacking qualities to command the Armenian armed forces.

We will remind that on April 26 the opposition parliamentary faction "EFC" was nominated for the post of Prime Minister the candidacy of its Chairman Nikol Pashinyan.
