Ekiti Guber Race: Fayose's deputy emerges PDP candidate

  • Dr. Kolapo Olusola

Olusola commended the peaceful primaries on Monday in Ado-Ekiti and described PDP as a party with integrity, fairness, and transparency. "This is a pattern of leadership we have at the national level". In our party, we don't engage in violence.

"All identified unruly agents that participated in the suspended primary election of 5th May 2018 are disqualified from participating in the rescheduled primary as agents. They can't even conduct an election among themselves; they will still beat themselves again". What this means is that we have already won the July 14 election.

Speaking with newsmen in Abuja, shortly after returning his expression of interest and nomination forms, Olusola, the state's deputy governor, expressed optimism that there would be no violence during the exercise. "If we have a leader that is fearless, the followers will also have the courage to follow".

The chairman of the party in statement from his media office signed by Ike Abonyi, on Wednesday, said the real victor from the exercise is democracy and not any individual as the PDP family in Ekiti would be healthier from the primary.

PDP urged the people to continue to be vigilant and resist all external forces being sponsored by the All Progressives Congress (APC) to disrupt the peace of the state, having realized that they have no place in the hearts of the people of Ekiti State.

Steve Kerr's Warriors have never faced a team quite like the Rockets
The Rockets, meanwhile, are seeking their first trip back to the Finals since winning back-to-back titles in 1993-94 and 1994-95. The Western Conference Finals get underway in the Lone Star State with the two teams that most expected to be here squaring off.

"It is only when people want to serve themselves, they coerce citizens to queue behind them through imposition rather than selling themselves or their preferred candidates to the people who should have the ultimate power to elect or not to elect anyone as their leader in a democracy". "I'm very much satisfied with the process and by the grace of God whoever wins, we are going to support whoever emerges. I am ready and prepared to take up this challenge as the incoming governor of Ekiti State on the platform of the PDP".

The party had on Tuesday May 8, organized the Ekiti State Governorship Primary Election, in which Professor Kolapo Olusola Eleka emerged victorious and will fly the party's flag in the July 14 Governorship Election in the State.

Mr Olusola entered the race with a clear advantage with his endorsement by the state working committee of the PDP in the state at the instance of Mr Fayose.

"With the emergence of a formidable candidate such as Prof".
