WHO Prepares for 'Worst Case Scenario' in Congo Ebola Outbreak

The viral disease, which has no known cure or proven vaccine, was first reported in 1976 in the Democratic Republic of Congo and takes its name from a river in that country.
"Community volunteers and groups are critical to stopping the spread of disease, especially in isolated areas, such as the epicentre of this current outbreak", said Dr Nafo-Traoré. According to the CDC, some of the symptoms include fever, severe headaches, muscle pain, fatigue, diarrhea, vomiting, and hemorrhage, in worse cases.
