In an interview with Huffington Post, Ettel said calling the police had no "racial component" to it and that it was about Austin "screaming". She then approached the mother and daughter and said that she politely, but sternly, asked them to keep it down. Citing loud yelling, Ettel stormed to the building courtyard and demanded to see the 8-year-old's permit, before ducking behind a nearby pillar to apparently call the police.

The girl's mother, Erin Austin, told CNN affiliate KGO that the video was taken shortly after Ettel came outside and confronted them.

Ettel was also set to be one of the subjects of a documentary called Lady Buds, a film about women in the cannabis industry. Ettel says the girl is illegally selling water, which Austin disputes.

Ettel says she was actually talking with the building's security guard not police.

In just about the only piece of good news to come out of this incident, an anonymous donor gave the girl selling water four tickets to Disneyland after being moved by the video.

"In the video caption, Austin asked people to make the woman go viral under the hashtag "#permitpatty", which sparked outrage and continued the debate over policing and racism.

While some people have been quick to brand the incident as racially motivated, Ettel denies the incident had anything to do with the little girl's skin tone.

The woman stood back up and attempted to justify calling the police.

Meanwhile, the mother of the eight-year-old girl has promised to press charges against Ettel for harassment.

Now, according to SF Gate, Ettel is receiving death threats.

Ettel told HuffPost that she was working from home and that Rodgers was continuously screaming outside.

The woman on the phone counters "it's not your property". Robert Ruecam, a spokesman for the San Francisco Police Department, told NBC News they did not receive a complaint about Rogers and Austin selling water.

It all started on Saturday, when Twitter user @_ethiopiangold shared the video of Ettel seemingly calling police on her younger cousin, who was selling water bottles to save up money for a trip to Disneyland.

Jordan herself spoke out to Good Morning America, saying the incident left her frightened.

Now named #PermitPatty by no-chill Black Twitter, Ettel faces off with the vigilant mom who goes by @ladyesowavy, on Instagram.
