Aaron Finch broke his own record for the highest individual score in a T20 global by smashing 172 off 76 balls in Australia's 100-run win over Zimbabwe on Tuesday.

Australia defeated Zimbabwe by 100 runs in the third match of the T20I triangular series played at the Harare Sports Club on Tuesday.

The hard-hitting right-hander, who surpassed his previous best of 156 against England in 2013, smashed 10 sixes and 16 fours in his blistering innings before his weird hit-wicket dismissal.

Australia reached 229 for two, the highest total ever scored against Zimbabwe in a T20 worldwide as a slew of records were broken during Australia's 100-run victory. Simon Mire top-scored for Zimbabwe with 28 runs.

During his knock and partnership with D Arcy Short for the opening wicket, they put together 223 runs for the highest partnership in T20I cricket. Yeah I did know about it ( holder of two highest individual T20I scores), it's just one of those days where few things went my way.

Finch's 172 left him three short of Chris Gayle's highest-ever T20 innings which he made for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League five years ago, against a Pune Warriors side captained by Finch.

Paul George Announces He's Re-Signing With Oklahoma City Thunder
Grant had his highest points per game average at 8.4 since the 2015-16 year, when he scored 9.7 points per game. Around the league, though, there is skepticism about Oklahoma City's willingness to go quite to this extreme.

2 - Aaron Finch reached his second T20I 150.

"It's nice to break my own record", said Finch.

The 100-run victory was the biggest margin for Australia in T20Is. The highest individual score against Zimbabwe was Mohammad Shahzad's 118 not out.

2 - Aaron Finch holds the record for the second highest score in the history of T20s.

The powerful right-hander has only been dismissed once in matches against England, New Zealand and Pakistan in 2018, putting up scores of 20*, 36*, 18*, 84 and 68* before his record-breaking knock against Zimbabwe.
