At the June 12 Singapore summit, U.S. President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un committed to recovering the remains of fallen American troops, including the immediate repatriation of those already identified.
Since that time, Trump has claimed a major victory (it's not), called Kim Jong Un "a very talented man, loves his country very much" (he kills his own family members and citizens) and has said North Korea is most definitely prepared to dismantle their nuclear arsenal, despite satellite footage from CNN that shows an upgrading arsenal. "Great progress being made!"
Kim expresses "invariable trust and confidence" in the president and wishes that "epochal progress" in promoting relations will "bring our next meeting forward".
"I firmly believe that the strong will, honest efforts and unique approach of myself and Your Excellency Mr. President aimed at opening up a new future between the DPRK and the USA will surely come to fruition", Kim wrote, referring to North Korea by its acronym. The meeting came after months of extreme pressure sanctions on North Korea, after U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo's two known trips to the nation, and after the communist nation had ceased missile tests months prior.
"The road ahead will be hard and challenging and we know that critics will try to minimize the work that we've achieved", he said.
Trump met with Kim in Singapore on June 12-the first meeting between leaders of the two countries.

"North Korea apparently wants a USA general to appear at the table to quickly finalize the repatriation issue", the source said.
"We will be ready", U.S. state department spokeswoman Heather Nauert said.
There is speculation that North Korea may also want payment for the return of the remains, our correspondent adds. Roughly 5,300 USA troops presumed to have been killed in the Korean war are unaccounted for.
