Liverpool's Jurgen Klopp backs Dejan Lovren after Croatia World Cup run

  • Lovren right had a torrid time against Kane at Wembley in October

With a place in the final secured after a 2017-18 season in which Liverpool reached the Champions League final despite criticisms of their defensive weaknesses, Lovren feels a point had been proven about his quality as a player.

Croatia are now preparing for their first-ever World Cup final, with Zlatko Dalic's side surpassing the 1998 team which reached the last four in France.

"Modric is not one of the best, [he is] the best midfield player in the world and if we win this World Cup he deserves the Ballon d'Or".

And as anticipation has grown each year as to whether Croatia's squad will finally meet the expectations set in France two decades ago, they finally proved themselves -- after a historic win against England yesterday.

"I heard people saying I had a hard season but I don't agree with that", the 29-year-old told BeIN SPORTS.

"Since I came in, maybe Dejan made three or four mistakes, two of them in the Tottenham game, maybe one in a Champions League game a year ago". Like with my case, I think people should respect me also.

Circuit Court of Appeals on October 31, has faced opposition by abortion rights groups because she has called Roe v. Top contenders had included federal appeals judges Raymond Kethledge , Amy Coney Barrett and Thomas Hardiman .

"It was quite tough first half, we couldn't control the ball and they had good chances" he admitted. "People are crying. It's something historical for us", the Liverpool defender said.

"It's something we'll never forget". "After everything that's been said before the game, we showed our character and that we deserve to be in the final". People now will never forget us.

"I am perfectly ready and fit, and I can say the same for my teammates".

Dalic refused to confirm whether right back Sime Vrsaljko would miss the game, after the Atletico Madrid player came off in extra time against Russian Federation.

If Lovren and his team-mates can control Mbappe and manage the alternative threats of Olivier Giroud and Antoine Griezmann on Sunday in Moscow, Croatia will have a genuine chance of pulling off a victory.
