  • Novak Djokovic reveals what was his best match in career

It was Federer who blinked, double-faulting to face a break point at 11-all, then slapping a forehand into the net.

The Serbian beat Kei Nishikori 6-3 3-6 6-2 6-2 to reach his first semi-final at any of the four majors since the US Open in 2016.

Novak Djokovic is in his first semifinals of a Grand Slam in just under two years, but is angry at just about everything.

But the 31-year-old wasn't happy with Carlos Ramos, accusing the the Spanish official of "double standards" during an ongoing battle in the two-hour, 35-minute encounter.

"I think the first warning was unnecessary", said Djokovic, who was sanctioned in the second set for spearing his racquet into the court.

"I didn't harm the grass, I know how I threw the racket".

Some of his returning, particularly during a rally in the fourth game of the first set where he was slipping and sliding across the grass like Jayne Torvill, was simply jaw-dropping.

Djokovic was seen engaged in a heated discussion with the umpire in the aftermath of the warning and it is fair to say some of his comments and complaints have left a sour taste in the mouth of some Wimbledon punters over the course of the championships. "In the midst of emotions in a tough match, it happens". Federer's tweener against Djokovic in the 2009 US Open final remains an iconic shot.

Trump sees Putin meeting as easiest of tour
He has often been criticized for being too soft on Putin, whom many view as a repressive leader and enemy of the US. Similarly, earlier on Tuesday the president tweeted , "Getting ready to leave for Europe ".

"It feels great to be in the last four of a Slam". "I've been building the last couple of weeks on the level of tennis I've played in the last couple of months".

"It took me two or three months and that was frustrating that I wasn't able to perform the game that I was used to and the level of tennis I wanted to play".

It was on Djokovic's serve and 0-40 down, he slowed things up, taking on average 29 seconds to serve, and saved all three break points before closing out the game.

"I just think it's really pathetic".

For the only the second time at Wimbledon, Federer was beaten after holding a two-set lead, with his previous loss from that position coming against Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the 2011 quarterfinals. "The big challenge for me after surgery was to be comfortable with the change of racquet, and the different compensations that I made in the motion of my serve", said the Serb, who asked for some modifications to be made to his Head Graphene Touch.

He will surely pose a threat for the 12-seed Djokovic.

It is Djokovic's first appearance in the semi-finals at the All England Club since 2015 - when he last won the title - and he revealed his motivation is fully back as he chases Grand Slam title No. 13.
