  • Trump names EU a global foe, raps media before Putin summit

Speaking with the US network CBS in Scotland on Saturday as he wound up the United Kingdom leg of his Europe tour, US President Donald Trump said that he was not going into talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin with high expectations.

"Unfortunately, no matter how well I do at the Summit, if I was given the great city of Moscow as retribution for all of the sins and evils committed by Russian Federation over the years, I would return to criticism that it wasn't good enough - that I should have gotten Saint Petersburg in addition!" he wrote.

Trump's secretary of state, former CIA Director Mike Pompeo, said he was confident the meeting "will put America in a better place".

Anti-Trump protesters gathered in Helsinki's Senate Square and plan to march through the Finnish capital and end their demonstration at the Square.

The White House rejected calls to cancel the summit after 12 Russian military intelligence officers were charged Friday with hacking into Democrats' computer networks and emails during the 2016 presidential race.

But the indictment identifies the defendants as officers with Russia's Main Intelligence Directorate of the General Staff, also known as GRU.

Trump has blamed the Democratic National Committee for "allowing themselves to be hacked".

"It's pretty silly for the president to demand something that he can't get legally", Bolton said on ABC News' This Week. "Do you find that in any way credible?"

"I believe it's really good". Trump and Putin meet later Monday at the palace.

PRESIDENT TRUMP: Well I might. The indictment says one of the intrusions came that summer, on a vendor whose software is used to verify voter registration information.

Just as the Supreme Court overturned the Dred Scott and Plessy decisions, the high court should overturn Roe v. Hogue cited a recent Pew poll showing that 7 in 10 Americans do not support "completely" overturning Roe v.

"He's been very nice to me the times I've met him".

"That in combination with meeting with Putin, and the rise in populism and authoritarianism, clearly suggest that this man has a view of the world - muscular, unilateral, zero-sum game, transactional".

Paul said both countries spy on each other but adds that Russian interference in the 2016 election isn't "morally equivalent" to United States interference in Russian elections, but "I think in their mind it is". I did it. You got me.' There won't be a Perry Mason here, I don't think, but you never know what happens, right?

(CNN) Every week, I offer a glimpse of the kind of intelligence assessments that are likely to come across the desk of the President of the United States.

"I could say: 'Would you do me a favour?" After over seven years of a horrific civil war, large swaths of Syria are starting to appear more firmly under the command of President Bashar al-Assad, who is supported by Russian air power and Iranian and Iranian-backed militias, although USA -backed groups, including the Kurds, maintain control in parts of the country.

The president declined to discuss his goals for the summit - "I'll let you know after the meeting", he said - but said he believed such get-togethers were beneficial in and of themselves. In his tweet, Trump said that the hacking of the servers took place during the Obama Administration. It's a privilege to give my advice to the president. Modeled on the President's Daily Briefing, or PDB, which the director of national intelligence prepares for the President nearly daily, my Presidential Weekly Briefing focuses on the topics and issues the President needs to know to make informed decisions. Alongside Russia and China, Trump mentioned the European Union, which includes several of the oldest, closest allies of the United States, when asked about the country's global foes.

"Well, I think we're quite concerned about it", Bolton said. But I heard they were trying to hack the Republicans too.

Instead, the US President is setting his sights on establishing a new Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START) between the United States and Russian Federation to continue decades of progressive nuclear disarmament between the two countries, the source told CNN.

"Not welcome", read one sign, held by Hemmo Siponen, showing a cartoon of Trump and Putin embracing. They're going to interfere in our elections.

"We're not looking for concrete deliverables here", Bolton said. He described USA allies in Europe, where he recently visited, as "afraid about what our president might agree to", and he told reporters he "very much" shares their worries. "That's how this is going to start off".
