Roseanne Barr: I'm not racist, I'm a creative genius

Barr believes that what made the original Roseanne so successful was the fact that it was so relatable.

"I'm so sorry that you thought I was racist and that you thought my tweet was racist, because it wasn't", Barr said, after Hannity asked what she might say to Jarrett if they spoke on the phone or if she was watching his show.

Following a racist tirade which resulted in the cancellation of her show, Roseanne Barr gave her first televised interview to Fox News.

"I was allowed under my contract to have 24 hours to correct any mistake..."

There was no discussion of the other time she called a black Obama official an ape: a 2013 tweet where she said former national security adviser Susan Rice was a man with the genitalia of an ape.

The actress, who is an outspoken supporter of US President Donald Trump, said that the controversy hasn't led her to reevaluate her political position. She also said on her YouTube channel that ABC fired her because of her support of Mr. Trump.

"My kids took it away from me forever", she said.

Trump later tweeted that work on documents was "moving along quickly", adding that the meeting with Juncker had "great warmth". European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker agreed that "this was a good and constructive meeting".

'I've apologised a lot, ' Barr said. "I never meant to hurt anybody, or say anything negative about an entire race of people".

The hour-long interview also dealt with Barr's mental health; she talked about being hospitalized multiple times and previously suffering from multiple personality disorder.

Barr again said she didn't know Jarrett was an African American, adding that it wasn't widely known.

This is a developing story. "I mean seriously. She needs a new haircut".

"Could you do your job?" she asked Hannity.

Barr reiterated that the tweet was meant to be political, not racial, but stopped short of repeating her recent claim that she was sacked because she's a Trump supporter.

Since outspoken Trump supporter Roseanne Barr was sacked from the ABC show bearing her name, some conservatives have been eager to see liberals face similar repercussions.

"What keeps me up at night are those families being separated at the border, or our children who go to school worrying about whether or not they're going to be safe and the parents dropping them off", said Jarrett. She also suggested that Jarret's skin tone is "like mine" and said she herself is "brown" before explaining that she lives "on an island full of brown people." WTF? And I'm sorry that you feel harmed and hurt. Less than a month later, ABC announced a Roseanne spin-off called The Conners, which would feature the rest of the cast without Barr. He said, "This is an opportunity in many ways for her".
