Real Madrid views Hazard as the potential heir to Cristiano Ronaldo after the 33-year-old Portuguese captain left for Juventus in a €105 million deal earlier last week.

Since then, he's helped bring two titles to Chelsea, making over 200 appearances in the top tier, and has become idolised by fans for the electricity he brings onto the pitch.

Real have been frequently credited with interest in Courtois and with the Belgium global having just one year remaining on his contract, a deal could potentially be reached in the coming days.

The Blues have been heavily linked with moves for Higuain and Daniele Rugani in recent weeks.

Hazard has been the talisman for Chelsea over the past few seasons and was the standout performer last season as well a single-handedly winning the Blues the FA Cup final against Manchester United at Wembley. But, the report by AS suggests that Los Blancos may have backed out of their pursuit of the Chelsea superstar.

Dani Carvajal has high hopes for life under new Real Madrid coach Julen Lopetegui, who he believes always gets the best out of his teams.

Real Madrid must pay a world record 225 million euros if they want to sign Eden Hazard, with Chelsea refusing to let the Belgian winger go easily according to the Daily Mail.

In the past week or so it finally became an exciting summer transfer window at Chelsea.

Isco and Asensio seemingly now have the onus on them to vindicate Lopetegui's decision and be the flag bearers for Real Madrid in the upcoming campaign.

Real's primary target Neymar delivered the first blow to the La Liga giants when he rebuffed all the reports linking him to Real Madrid.
