Manchester City qualified for the Community Shield after winning the Premier League title.

The England 2018/2019 football season gets underway on Sunday with the traditional FA Community Shield match pitting the previous season's FA Cup victor against the champion of the English Premier League, as The Sun explains, which this year means that the game will feature an elite-level top-flight clash between Chelsea, winners of the FA Cup, and multiple-record-setting Premier League champions Manchester City in a game that will live stream from London. But while both teams will be looking to win the game, it will primarily serve as a competitive training exercise for some stars as the majority of their World Cup players continue to work on their fitness.

The Blues care competing in the Shield clash for the second straight season after they lost to Arsenal on penalties in last year's match.

Manchester City and Chelsea are about to compete for the first silverware of the season.

Chelsea vs Manchester City Community Shield match will be played at the Wembley Stadium in London, England. That's been the perennial mantra for the Community Shield but, given this particularly strangulated off-season, it seems even more appropriate this time round.

Chelsea vs Manchester City Community Shield match is scheduled to begin at 7:30 PM IST.

The former Leicester man is named in the starting XI for City, while Chelsea hand a start to new signing Jorginho.
