I haven’t actually done a personal post in a long time, so I decided to do one today.
Not exactly personal though, just me rambling about stuff on my blog.
First, I want to say thank you all for reading every now and then, and you know, staying with me through thick and thin.
How and why did I start my blog?
I am a “women and children” person, not exactly feminist but I like to stand for what is right in relation to these set of people. Am I anti-men? Well, I am not sure, but one thing I am at least sure of is that I am straight( just so we clear on the sexual stulvs).
I have always wanted a platform to talk about these set of people. But I wasnt exactly thinking of owning a blog, it just happened. All the same, the vision has expanded and I can say that for this blog, this is just the beginning.
I opened this blog also because I had an article “grateful” and I needed to publish it somewhere. I freelance for a couple of newspapers, and I am associate editor for a magazine, but “grateful” wasn’t newspaper stuff, because with newspapers, I write just about politics, leadership and other not-playful stuff and even with the magazine, the only column I write is Leadership (though by choice because I have a lot on my plate), in addition to overseeing other write ups sent in by other writers.
At the time, I also wrote for a couple of blogs like Dynamix Magazine Blog, Young and Confused Gang, but I didn’t want to publish it on those beautiful platforms, because the article was too personal and I wanted something more.
So I spoke to my close friend Ella, who had been pushing me to start a blog for ages. After rolling her eye at me a couple of times, she repeated her advice and there and then, I started the blog. (Thank you Ella :*)
I must confess, I didn’t expect to get this much followership in such a short time and I must say thank you so very much. I appreciate you all.
I know those endless mails you get from me can be tiring, but it is part of the growth this blog has been experiencing.
I would be having a couple of friends tell their 2015 story in the mini-series “My 2015 story”. It would come up every Tuesday and Thursday for the remaining part of this month.
I hope you enjoy it.
I am still not sure if I should post mine or save it for a later time. But, oh well, let’s see how it goes…
