Game of Thrones 6 and Girl Power

So the season 6 of Game of thrones ended with women taking the lead in almost every sphere.

From Arya Stark who has returned for vengeance to the once naive, now grown Sanza Stark who seems to be taking charge of her life.

How can we forget the little but fiery Lady Momont who is highly respected even among grown men.

Then, we have Cersei who sits on the iron throne. Victory really comes at a huge price. I mean, I knew she was despicable, but to be capable of killing all those people? No!

It was quite painful seeing Lady Margery die….it seemed like she had something up her sleeves.

Who can forget Lady Olenna and the Sand Snakes of Dawn. Did you see the way she shut those girls up? She seems to have teemed up with the house of Oberyn by the way.

Yet, can we forget Yara Greyjoy and her quest for the iron islands?

And yes! The emotionless Daenerys, and her dragons….they are just a sight to behold, what with all those ships.

I am so excited and I really cannot wait for the next season(sadly next year). The ladies are gonna be “wilding” in season 7.
I feel the end of this series is near, very near in fact!!!

  1. I swear it’s like the writer of this article went into my complex mind, dug this up and posted it here! GOT has always been spiced with subtle feminism but season 6 went overboard. It reached a crescendo with lady Mormont, a 12-year-old warden in the North calling the shots with her ever stern eyes.

  2. Hmm. I think that the feminist undertones of GoT hit a crescendo at just the right time. One cannot help but see the super-duper (couldnt possibly be a..) coincidence in the way things played out on GoT and the way they are playing out in the US elections this year. But I have to admit, I like it. A lot. (wink)

    Good job BI!

    1. Yes, I agree with you. I am very sure too…that it is no coincidence that this came at the same time with the U.S elections. Remember 24? The black president there and how it appeared to be a coincidence that Barack Obama won the elections.

Thank you very much for reading through ma. I am glad you liked the article.
